As a graduate of Syracuse University, I have always been interested in international affairs and current events. Specifically, my interests include the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, intercultural communications, human rights law, refugee issues, and women and youth development.
Feel free to check out other articles I have written for The Daily Star, Lebanon’s main English newspaper and online edition, The Daily Orange, Syracuse University’s independent student campus newspaper, and Executive Magazine, Lebanon’s business, economy, and public policy magazine.
Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, I moved to Syracuse, NY, to pursue an undergraduate education in international relations, as well as newspaper and online journalism. Although I currently live in Syracuse, I travel back to Beirut frequently– which is what led to the concept of this site.
Tam’s World includes events occurring in the Middle East, mainly in Beirut, and interesting topics on what may be happening at Syracuse University and the city of Syracuse.
